The Healthy Benefits of Distilled Water
What is distilled water? Distilled water is water which has been heated to the boiling point so that impurities are separated from the water which itself becomes vapor or steam. The difference between purified water and distilled water is that distilled water has no minerals, unlike purified bottled water. It is well known that our drinking water is filled with impurities and disease from sewage systems. Distilled water does not have this problem. Some people worry that distilled water will rob our bodies of natural minerals. However, this is not true. Distilled water is a good way to clense the body. It removes impurities, and has been known to flush the body of its water weight. Losing the bodies water weight would lead to dramatic weight loss. A large portion of the bodies weight is water weight. This diet is good for fast weight loss, but continuing this diet for a long period of time could be unhealthy.

SPRING...BREAK
I interviewed Arielle Anderson for some advice to add to my blog. Arielle works at Tony’s Gym, and knows of the increasing membership in the spring time. Arielle works part time, so she only sees the members that come in to work out between the times of 4:00-8:00 p.m. However, she noticed a significant change in the amount of is its members after the New Year. She said that tanning beds and certain work out machines become more occupied. “It’s obvious that Spring Break is getting close”, she said. I asked her what machines are the most popular, and she said that there are always people working on the elliptical and abb machines. She says that the tanning beds are almost always occupied during the months of February and March. Gym memberships start to decline as summer approaches. This shows that girls are most aware of their body image around Spring Break. Girls want to feel confident in a bathing suit while on the beach. Girls just need to stay motivated and dedicate to working out, and those Spring Break bodies shouldn’t be a problem.

A Heathy Habit-Get Some Sleep!

Today, society puts such an emphasis on being active and staying in shape. People think they can only loose weight while moving. This is actually untrue. Sleep is actually a very healthy way to loose weight. There will not be rapid weight loss, but studies have shown that women who sleep less than seven hours per night weigh about five punds more than the women that get more than seven hours of sleep each night. People usually think they are not gaining anything beneficial by sleeping but this is not true. While sleeping, the whole body is able to relax. The muscles, joints, body, and mind are able to get rest. Getting more sleep, and making sure the body is well rested will enable the body to function better. In some cases, people are able to function properly without the appropriate amount of sleep. However, the lack of sleep will catch up with these people eventually. Ways to ensure a good night sleep are simple. Go to bed earlier. If it is going to be an early morning, count back and make sure at least seven hours are going to be spent asleep. If a good nights sleep is accomplished, it makes it easier to wake up and feel well-rested rather than drowsy. If trouble getting to sleep is the problem, exercise. Exercising will make the body tired, and in need of rest. There is nothing like a good nights sleep after a work out. Studies show that women who get more sleep have a higher metabolism. This means eating more with less weight gain! There is nothing wrong with that! Many helpful hints are on this blog. Check it out! http://www.fitsugar.com/2750195

The Key to Toning Up-Motivation

What will make a girl want to work out? Most girls do not just get the sudden will to hit the gym. All it takes is sweet treat at the end of the day to throw a girl's motivation completely off. What will give a girl the will power to go to the gym every day? There is a secret, and this secret is key to getting that body ready for swim suit season. This is secret is motivation. If a girl has the motivation to work out, they will be set. However, this motivation can be thrown off by the smallest things, such as a good show coming on t.v. or a major sale at the mall. Either of these events could lead to a definite "no no" in the world of working out. This "no no " would be naughty nibbling. In some cases, nibbling between meals is okay, but the snack most girls choose is usually not going to be anything healthy. It might end up being a brownie, a bag of chips, or maybe a bowl of ice cream. Once again, the only thing that can fix this afternoon craving, and get a girl to the gym is a motivation. What is motivating enough to get a girl to a gym? Try posting pictures of Victoria's Secret models all over the house, on the refrigerator, in the bathroom, on the door to the pantry, and maybe in front of the closet. It is important to put a motivating picture in the right places. Say a naughty nibbler goes to the pantry for an afternoon snack (instead of hitting the gym), and they come face to face with a picture of their dream body for Spring Break. They might think twice about that brownie they were reaching for. Girls should also try putting a picture up on the mirror in the bathroom. It will force the girl to look at herself, and see the changes that she wants to accomplish. This may seem depressing at first, but if the motivation works in ways that it should, the girl should soon see results.

Intro to Fitness- STRETCHING
Stretching your ankles is importnat and sounds impossible, but it's actually easy! Simple rotate each foot 8-10 times in a clockwise motion, and then change to counter clockwise. This stretch is very important if you are planning on going for a run. Your legs are probably the most important part of your body to stretch before working out. Without your legs, how much working out could you do? Not much. So begin by stretching the calf. Find a wall or flat, vertical surface, and put pressure on the toes. Then move up to stretching your thighs. Lunges are usually the best exercise for the thighs. Place one foot in front of you, and then stretch the opposite leg behing you. Put all of your weight on the front leg.
After these simple exercises, you should be ready for your workout!

Introduction Blog
Welcome to my blog! My name is Kelli, and I am a high school Senior. Like many other high school girls, I am currently addicted to the book and movie Twilight. Though I can not put the book, Twilight, down, I usually do not enjoy reading. I love movies. If there is a movie that I enjoy, I could watch it over and over again. I love to eat. That quality would probably turn any reader of this blog away. Who is going to take fitness advice from a girl who loves to eat? Just know, I have a fast metabolism, and I know many different exercises to tone muscle. Sorry boys, this blog is targeted toward women. I am not interested in building muscle; I am only concerned with toning the muscle I have. This blog will be in use throughout Spring and possibly Summer. This blog will be filled with helpful advice to get you ready for the beach! So take out that bikini! Your hot bathing suit body is on the way!
